Slovenia hosts Sweden in the capital Ljubljana in a match from League B of the Nations League. Stay with us and our football predictions for tomorrow!
The Slovenian team didn’t have a very good campaign in the World Cup qualifiers. They finished 4th in their group which was not accepted well in the country. Despite the poor performance, Matjaz Kek wasn’t sacked as a manager and he will continue to coach the team. Now the 60-years old tactician will try to do better and the Nations League is a good chance to start.
It’s difficult to say that Slovenia has any major stars in their squad right now except for the captain Jan Oblak. PAOK’s Jasmin Kurtic is one of the well-known names in the team, but he’s 33-years old already and probably past his prime. At the same time Udinese’s Sandi Lovric, Alanyaspor’s Miha Mevlja and Fenerbahce’s Miha Zajc are among the players who should step up.
Sweden are not approaching the new Nations League in the best possible mood. The Scandinavians failed to qualify for the next World Cup and it’s always a failure for such a strong team as theirs. They were just one step away from doing it, but suffered a loss against Poland in the decisive playoff game.
Just like Matjaz Kek, Sweden’s manager Janne Andersson kept his job and he will continue as a manager. He’s coaching the Swedish side since 2016 and obviously he’s trusted by the Football Association.
There are some really talented players in Sweden’s team right now. The young Anthony Elanga had a breakthrough season for Manchester United while Dejan Kulusevski made a good impression with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. In attack Sweden will use again the talents of Alexander Isak and Robin Quaison.
That’s our football predictions for tomorrow for the Nations League game between Slovenia and Sweden. We wish you good luck!
